Greetings everyone.......for this installation we will be talking about the Fair/Concert. Above please note the color for the color pallette. Of course, this is a fall pallette and these duller, more muted colors work best for our show. Please keep this in mind when making your selections. Texture and pattern are good, just nothing too busy or "loud, " please. Avoid large, obvious logos on shirts and jackets as we cannot use them. Graphics are ok as long as they do not indicate a specific brand. For example: tees with the large AF on them are not usuable as we all know what that mean.
I am going to be breaking down the background artists by categories. Most of you will be Fair Goers/Concert Fans, but there are a few other categories such as musicians, roadies, security, etc. If you are told that you will be a specific type please bring the items listed, as well as some selections from the Fair Goers/Concert Fan category.
FAIR GOERS/CONCERT FANS
Men: Please bring several options of the following items. The more you bring the better we can make you look.
tee shirts (bring some that you might not mind cutting the sleeves off of)
muscle tees and "wife beaters"
vintage western shirts in plaids, denims or other designs
sweatshirts/hoodies without logos in grey, brown, navy, ect
jeans (nothing too worn out or with a lot of rips or holes)
Vests in denim, suede and leather
jackets in denim, suede or leather
cowboy hats and brim caps
cowboy boots
Women: Please bring several options of the following items. The more you bring the better we can make you look.
sun hats, brim caps and cowboy hats
parasols or sun shades of some kind
anything with roses on it, including tees, blouses, dresses
please include in your options something black and something red
jeans, slacks, skirts, sundresses
jackets in denim, suede and leather
sweatshirts/hoodies without logos in gray, brown, navy, etc
vintage western shirts/dresses
cowboy boots and other shoes to work with all that you bring
we want you to be "dolled up" but without a lot of jewelry. The feel is festive. You are here to see your favorite country music star!
Also, if you have any silk roses in your house, please bring them to wave in the air!!
MUSICIANS
I believe that you have been spoken to, but just wanted to remind you. Tee shirts without logos, a few pant/jean options, any long sleeve shirts without stripes, boots-things that you like to perform in.
ROADIES
Typically this look is all dark. Please bring most things in black, navy and dark gray. This can include tees without logos, polo shirts, button front shirts. Also, please bring black pants as well as dark jeans. Don't forget black shoes.
FAIRGROUND SECURITY
Those chosen for this will be given a uniform by the Costume Dept. You should bring with you a white crew neck tee shirt, black shoes and a black belt.
ANASTASIA SECURITY GUARDS
Those chosen for this will be given Security polo shirts. You should bring with you a black short sleeve crew neck tee shirt, a white short sleeve crew neck tee shirt, black pants (not jeans) and a black belt and black shoes.
And now a few helpful hints....make sure that you bring things for you own personal comfort. A jacket to wear if it is cool and you are not on camera. A pair of comfortable shoes that you can wear when not on camera. There will be plenty of waiting around time. Do yourself a favor and bring a book or your ipod or a crossword puzzle or something. If there is something of value that you would be concerned about losing, just don't bring it! All areas are secured and your possessions will be safe, but if you dropped your heirloom ring from your great-grandmother and can't find it, you will wish that you had left it at home!!
We look forward to meeting all of you next week. Please remember to consult the color pallette chart and to carefully read the lists of items that we would like you to bring. Our goal is to make you look great and "camera ready" so that we don't have to hide you behind the hot dog stand!! Bring us plenty of options and we will be able to do so. See you on the set!
